My Early Christmas Present

I got my Christmas present from my husband early! A Nikon Coolpix P510 digital camera!

It was on sale (or at least that is my argument!) and it’s nice to be able to figure out how to use it before the family gatherings begin.

I did a lot of research to try to figure out which camera I wanted. I wanted something that wasn’t quite a DSLR but still allowed me options and settings with photo taking as well some fine control over certain details. I started to do more research about actually taking photos and using my cameras settings and fell down a rabbit hole. I realized just how much I have forgotten since high school. This is stuff I knew once upon a time!

Homework I think. And tomorrow, the first day I have had to do so, I am going for a walk to take photos and experiment. And I only have 1 outfit from my old camera yet to post.

I have purchased “Understanding Exposure” by Bryan Peterson but does anyone have any other suggestions to re-learn photography?
