Daily Outfit: More Capsule Wardrobe Options…and Crack Smoking

This is more of my capsule wardrobe experiment. I will be done by next weekend. I swear! No more boring outfits – at least until they appear in my travel photos! I’m torn about taking this blouse with me to Ireland though. It seems fussy. And I think – not sure – that it wrinkles easy. I’m actually on the fence about it. But this cardigan and probably this jacket are coming. I think. Did I mention I’m type A? Or that I thoroughly enjoy planning a vacation just as much as going? Yep. As if you didn’t guess. The Container Store is like crack to me. Or porn. Or watching porn while smoking crack. Wait. You smoke crack, right? You don’t inhale it or eat it or anything stupid right? If I’m going to talk about it I might as well get it right otherwise what will people think of me??

Did I ever talk about my love/hate relationship with bees? No? Ok…so I really like bees. I think they are beautiful and interesting. I also think they serve two amazing functions, pollination and honey! I love getting bee shaped items and have even thought about getting a stylized bee tattoo. I think some of this has to do with the fact that my name is Latin for Honey Bee.

Quick – what planet were the bees returning to on “Doctor Who”? Melissa Majora – the Big Bee!!

Anyhow on the other side I am scared to death of bees and flying things. SCARED.TO.DEATH. Like screaming like a little girl scared.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN STUNG BY A BEE OR A WASP OR ANYTHING EVEN RELATED! So why the heck am I scared of them? No idea.

Digging the military jacket a whole lot! Like a whole whole lot!
I didn’t much care for that look during the whole 90’s slobby grunge phase when everyone was cleaning out Army-Navy stores looking for those style jackets..but now – I can’t get enough of them.

I’m with you on the bees thing. I harbor much hatred for bees as I got stung on my face when I was sitting on a picnic table just talking to a bunch of friends back when I was in college. Just outta the blue. No bee. Then bee stinging my face. Insanely painful. Anyways, I’ve been anti-bee ever since. So much so that I keep a can of flying bug spray in my car trunk, my house, my back porch, etc. I’ve no problem just dousing the hell outta any flying bug with Raid that dares cross my flight path.

    • Yeah I was never much into the grunge in the 90s. Probably where I lived. And besides with as fast as trends overturn now its hard to follow that old advice that if you are old enough to have seen it the first time you are too old to dress in that trend again. All I can be thankful for is that hyper color t-shirts aren’t back!

      *fist bump* fellow bee hater!
