I know my Facebook friends got tired of seeing these photos of Lake Tahoe so if you’ve seen them on Facebook don’t bother clicking to look at these – you’ve seen them. But I neglected to mention anything here on my blog and I feel I must. It’s one more thing I can check off my travel bucket list after all!
I mentioned previously that I took a few days off to travel to Lake Tahoe and witness my boyfriend’s sister’s wedding. Beautiful ceremony, beautiful bride and groom, beautiful day and amazing location. Great idea Bethany & Kevin! Loved going there but I doubt I’ll ever go back as I am not much of a vacation repeater. I think the closest we will get is Las Vegas and that’s entirely different!
Emerald Bay. Lake Tahoe is the 2nd most photographed place on the planet just behind the Taj Mahal. This place just made me miss home – Colorado – all that much more.
The view from our hotel room windows (Harvey’s Casino)…wowza!
Mt. Tallac from Kiva Beach. We went on a photo tour (by Tahoe Photographic Tours) and they took a much more colorful one than mine:
Oh and I *highly* recommend them. Lots of walking, lots of photos but dang we got some amazingly beautiful photos and they were just loads of fun!
The Heavenly Gondola. And I am *DEATHLY* scared of heights. This was extremely unnerving!!
These next 4 photos are from left to right at the top of observation deck…just amazing!! And some of my favorites that I took. On my scrapbook page I overlayed each photo so it ended up being just one wide “camera angle” image. Everyone that has looked at my scrapbook has commented on it.
One of my favorite photos of my boyfriend:
It’s at the base of the gondola.
This is my new favorite photo of us. I.absolutely.freaking.love.this.photo! It’s from the photo tour and just…perfect. It’s so much fun and we don’t look like the stiffs that we are in our usual photos. Just love it!
And last but not least the wedding – the reason we were there in the first place – was overlooking Emerald Bay.
And the cake at the reception was pretty good too!
If you want to see any more photos please feel free to check out my Photobucket album. It’s just a portion of the ones taken (over 500 to be exact) but does have more than the ones I showed here.
